HPAS (HPAS Coaching) Combined Competitive exam – Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Exam is generally conducted by state public service commission that is Himachal Pradesh Public Services Commission, Shimla. For filling the post of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Officers, Himachal Pradesh Police Services visit their website www.hp.gov.in/hppsc .
Various types and categories of posts under commission are :-
- Himachal Pradesh Administrative Class-I Gazetted
- Himachal Pradesh Police Services Class-I Gazetted
- Block Development Officer Class-I Gazetted
- Tehsildar Class-I
- Excise and Taxation Officer
Important:- The number of vacancies in the services / posts is advertised by commission every year in the month of December. All the candidates are requested to apply under their respective category(s) as any above post of any reserved category can be included to be filled up on the basis of H.P.A.S. Combined Competitive Examination.
Exam Eligibility
Educational Qualification
The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university.
Age Limits
The aspiring candidate must have attained the age of 21 years but must not be more than 35 years of age as on the 1st Jan of the preceding year exam is conducted .
Relaxation of upper age limits:
The upper age limit is relax able by 05 years for S.C. / S.T. and other prescribed reserved categories (OPRC) candidates of Himachal Pradesh.
Other Eligibility Conditions
The knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
Nationality
A candidate must be a citizen of India.
How to Apply for Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Exam?
Aspiring candidates are required to apply only through online mode by using their website No other mode for submission of applications is allowed.
Exam Fee
Candidates are required to pay fee of Rs.400 (for General candidates/General Physical handicapped and WFF of HP Category) Rs.100 (For SC/ST/OBC of HP) by cash at any branch of PNB, through a challan generated through the above website or the requisite amount of application fee can also be paid through credit/debit cards of any bank.
Ex-serviceman of HP discharged after completion of normal tenure and visually impaired candidates of HP are exempted from the Exam Fee.
Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Exam Pattern
Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Exam consists of three stages:
Stage 1 Preliminary Examination
It will have 2 papers of 200 marks each.
Paper-I will be of General Studies (Code No.01) and
Paper-II will be on Aptitude Test (Code No.02).
Both the papers will have 100 objective type (multiple choice) questions. Duration of the Papers will be two hours each.
Stage 2 Main (Narrative) Examination
Only the selected candidates shall be eligible to appear for the mains examination. It will consist of General Studies 4 exam papers , English, Essay and Hindi Language paper and an optional subjects selected by the candidate
Stage 3
Viva Voice
Candidates who qualify the Main written examination will be called for a viva-voice test. The maximum marks for the viva-voice shall be 100.
The marks obtained in the viva-voice will be added to the marks obtained in the Main written examination for purpose of selection of the candidates. Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services Combined Competitive Exam Syllabus
